COMMERCIAL OFFICE FITOUT
The MMC office fitout comprised of a full floor fitout on level 2 of the new Deloitte House at 20 Customhouse Quay on Wellingtons waterfront. The 1280sqm floor plate was handed over in its base build layout then divided into collaboration zones, quiet spaces, meeting rooms, breakout spaces and a large open plan workspace to accommodate their 100+ Wellington based staff.
All aspects of the fitout were meticulously detailed requiring a high level of workmanship and attention to detail. Significant amounts of feature joinery were introduced including bespoke timber ceilings which emulate the diagrid structure of the building.
Flexibility of meeting spaces was achieved by the use of large operable walls allowing conferences of 70+ people to be held. This necessitated high acoustic requirements such as fabric wrapped acoustic wall panelling, in-ceiling acoustic treatment, door seals and the like, to ensure privacy and sound proofing levels were achieved.
MMC had a tight occupation deadline as they had to vacate multiple floors in the old PWC House at 119 The Terrace for building upgrade works. This deadline was achieved through meticulous planning and close liaison with the landlords basebuild contractor and numerous other fitout contractors all of which were completing works within the building at the same time.
