SEISMIC STRENGTHENING
The strengthening and renovation works at Wellesley College Senior involved the addition of steel cross bracing, beams and base-plate fixing upgrades to the senior block along with the addition of enlarged concrete footings, sub-floor bracing and roof truss bracing in the junior blocks. Following completion of the seismic upgrades in the senior block, the classrooms were rejuvenated with modern floor coverings and acoustic wall linings. Primarily executed during school breaks, these enhancements not only bolstered the structural integrity but also fostered a conducive learning environment, blending safety with contemporary aesthetics seamlessly.
